Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, our Ramasside Tours representative will be waiting for you holding a Ramasside sign. You will then be transferred in a private, modern air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel.

Overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids & the Egyptian Museum

Breakfast at the hotel. Your private guide will pick you up to begin your tour of Egypt’s world-famous pyramids. Start at the Giza Plateau exploring the Pyramids of Khufu (Cheops), Khafre (Chephren), and Menkaure (Mykerinos).

Continue to the Great Sphinx and visit the Valley Temple belonging to the pyramid complex of Khafre.

Next, transfer to the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities (The Egyptian Museum in Tahrir Square), which houses a rare collection spanning 5,000 years of Pharaonic art—recognized as the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world. Marvel at over 250,000 genuine artifacts on display, including the legendary royal treasures, gold, and jewelry of King Tutankhamun, which remained sealed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before Howard Carter’s 1922 discovery. Enjoy a panoramic Cairo city drive with a scenic photo stop along the River Nile before transferring back to your hotel.

(Optional) Evening excursion to attend the Sound and Light Show across the Giza Pyramids plateau.

Overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 3: Islamic & Old Coptic Cairo

Breakfast at the hotel. Your guide will meet you in the lobby for a spiritual and historical journey through Cairo's Islamic and Christian heritage. First, visit the Citadel of Saladin, constructed on the Moqattam Hills in 1183 AD to fortify Cairo against Crusader armies. Inside the fortress, tour the magnificent Mosque of Muhammad Ali (The Alabaster Mosque), designed by Turkish architect Yusuf Bushnaq from Istanbul for Muhammad Ali Pasha, ruler of Egypt (1805–1849).

Next, proceed to Old Coptic Cairo to explore the Hanging Church (Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church), the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus (Abu Serga)—where the Holy Family sought shelter—and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.

Return to your hotel.

Overnight stay in Cairo.

Day 4: Alexandria Day Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Your tour guide will pick you up to begin your scenic excursion to Alexandria. Start with the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the world's largest library designed to house up to 8 million books. Tour the open plaza to see the statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy I, which were retrieved from the seabed nearby. Your guide will explain the architectural design from the exterior, with time for landmark photography.

(Note: Bibliotheca Alexandrina is closed on Fridays and public holidays. Reading room access requires an additional on-site ticket).

Continue to the Roman Amphitheatre of Alexandria and view the open-air exhibition of submerged artifacts recovered from beneath the city's East Harbor.

Drive to visit Saint Mark’s Church, the oldest church in Africa, followed by a walking tour through the historic heart of downtown Alexandria. Browse vibrant traditional souks selling everything from daily goods to classic Egyptian pastries, and observe local architecture showcasing distinctive Baroque, Italian, and French facades.

Visit the El Nabi Daniel Mosque, locally associated with the tomb of Alexander the Great and revered as the resting place of Prophet Daniel and Sidi Lokman el Hakim.

Optional Lunch: Savor fresh Mediterranean seafood at an upscale restaurant or dine at Alexandria’s iconic traditional eatery, Mohamed Ahmed's—frequently visited by international luminaries and dignitaries.

Optional Break: Relax at a curated coffee shop or an authentic local shisha lounge.

Pass through Mansheya's oldest quarter to visit the bustling narrow alleys of Zan'et El Setat (the historic women's market) and the glittering Gold Souk.

Your vehicle will take you to Alexandria’s grandest and most striking Islamic landmark: Abbo Elabbas Mosque, along with the nostalgic local fairground outside where children ride vintage wooden carousels.

Opposite the mosque lies the Corniche and the old fishing harbor, where traditional wooden boats and fishermen mending nets offer classic coastal photo opportunities. Continue to the exterior of Citadel of Qaitbay, erected on the exact site of the ancient Pharos Lighthouse—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.

Afterward, head along the scenic 25-kilometer coastline towards Montaza Palace and Royal Gardens, passing historic coastal sites where over 7,000 submerged artifacts were retrieved. Make an optional 2-minute drive-thru stop at "King of Mango" for freshly squeezed tropical juices and a photo stop at Alexandria's Unknown Soldier Memorial.

At Montaza Gardens—popularly known as the "Garden of Love"—stroll through the royal grounds of King Farouk (the last king of Egypt), admire the royal palaces of Al-Haramlik and As-Salamlek, cross the Montaza Bridge to Tea Palace Island, and view the royal beaches.

On your return journey, pause for photos at the iconic Stanley Bridge, the modern symbol of Alexandria, before driving comfortably back to your hotel in Cairo.

Overnight stay in Cairo.

Operational Guidelines & Booking Policies

  • Hotel Ratings in Egypt:
  • Hotel star classifications in Egypt differ from standards in the US or Europe. Several 5-star properties correspond to standard 3-star or 4-star properties abroad. We strongly suggest selecting Luxury or Ultra-Luxury tiers to ensure true 4-to-5-star international standards.
  • Visa Service:
  • Save time and skip airport queues upon arrival. Provide a copy of your passport in advance and our representative will arrange your entry visa.
  • (Note: Travelers holding valid US, UK, or Schengen visas qualify for visa-on-arrival assistance).
  • Sleeper Trains (Not Recommended):
  • Night sleeper trains require 15–18 hours of noisy travel with basic shared amenities. We strongly recommend upgrading to domestic flights ($150 per person supplement including 5-star hotel night) for speed, cleanliness, and peace of mind.
  • Domestic Flight Bookings:
  • Packages quote average rates for domestic flights with estimated timings. During peak tourist seasons and late bookings, ticket prices may rise, resulting in applicable fare surcharges. Indirect flights via Cairo may apply for connections to Sharm El Sheikh or Hurghada.
  • Travel Insurance (AIG Travel Guard):
  • Optional travel protection: $25 per person for one week, or $50 per person for trips exceeding one week.
  • Payment Policy:
  • We accept all secure payment methods: Visa, MasterCard, and direct wire bank transfers.
  • VIP Private Access with Dr. Zahi Hawass:
  • Private tours to the Giza Plateau accompanied by world-renowned archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass are available upon request, offering exclusive access between the paws of the Great Sphinx and to areas closed to the general public.
  • Child Policy:
  • 0 – 1.99 years: Free of charge (unless flights are included)
  • 2 – 5.99 years: 25% of tour price (50% if flights/sleeper train included)
  • 6 – 11.99 years: 50% of tour price
  • 12+ years: Charged as an adult
  • Special Archaeological Site Tickets:
  • Standard tickets do not cover optional internal entrance fees to restricted archaeological chambers (e.g., inside the Great Pyramid burial chambers, the Royal Mummies Hall, or King Tutankhamun’s Tomb in Luxor).
  • Alexandria Excursion Note:
  • The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is closed on all public holidays. Access to the main reading hall requires an additional ticket on site.
  • Essential Packing:
  • Flat, comfortable walking shoes are required for uneven archaeological terrain. Pack sandals or slip-on shoes for cruise and felucca decks.
  • Peak Season Dates:
  • Christmas & New Year: December 15 – January 7
  • Easter: March 20 – April 20
  • Mid-Term Break: October 20 – October 31
  • Hotel Check-in: 2:00 PM | Check-out: 12:00 PM
  • Customer Support:
  • For custom bookings and inquiries, contact: [email protected]
