A Ramasside Tours representative will meet you at your hotel in Cairo with a modern, air-conditioned vehicle and transfer you to Cairo Airport’s domestic terminal for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival at Luxor Airport, your expert Egyptologist guide will be waiting for you holding a Ramasside sign.

From the moment your tour begins, your guide will give you their undivided attention. Once in the vehicle, they will introduce you to all the fascinating sights you will encounter along the route and discuss any specific aspects of your itinerary that interest you.

Transfer in an air-conditioned vehicle to explore the magnificent Karnak Temple complex, the largest religious complex ever constructed in antiquity. Walk along the Avenue of Sphinxes, explore the monumental Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 towering sandstone columns, and marvel at the soaring obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Thutmose III, alongside the Sanctuary of Amun adorned with delicate lotus and papyrus carvings.

Next, cross to the world-famous Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of ancient pharaohs where remarkable rock-cut tombs were excavated deep into the desert cliffs, richly painted with funerary texts to guide royalty through the afterlife. You will visit three selected royal tombs (open tombs are designated by the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities on a rotational basis to ensure conservation). In addition, you will enjoy special interior access to the Tomb of King Tutankhamun. Tutankhamun ruled Egypt for approximately 10 years, from 1336 to 1327 BC. In November 1922, Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon discovered his virtually intact tomb in the Valley of the Kings. The boy king’s mummified body was found surrounded by invaluable treasures inside his nested gold coffins following the official unsealing of the burial chamber on February 17, 1923.

Today, Tutankhamun remains ancient Egypt’s most famous Pharaoh. On this tour, your guide will uncover the lesser-known truths and archaeological insights surrounding the boy king’s life and legacy.

Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari, an architectural masterpiece dedicated to Egypt's prominent female Pharaoh, rising dramatically from the desert floor in a series of colonnaded terraces set against limestone cliffs. On the return drive, stop at the Colossi of Memnon—two giant seated quartzite statues depicting Amenhotep III facing the Nile.
