Day 01: Tour from Alexandria to Cairo
Your Ramasside Tours guide and tour manager will meet you at your hotel or the airport holding a sign with your name. No need to look for them—they will locate and meet you directly.
From the moment your journey begins, your guides will give you their complete attention. Once in the vehicle, your guide will discuss the route, highlight landmarks along the drive, and address any points of interest.
Travel in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle to Saqqara, part of the vast necropolis of Memphis. Discover the burial ground of Egypt’s earliest nobility and the oldest stone pyramid ever built: the Step Pyramid of Djoser. Continue to Memphis, Egypt’s first ancient capital, to marvel at the colossal statue of Ramesses II and the partially excavated ruins of the Temple of Hathor. Before heading towards Giza, view the alabaster Sphinx of Memphis.
Enjoy lunch at a quality local restaurant.
Next, proceed to the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Enjoy panoramic photo opportunities of Cairo and the River Nile before visiting the Citadel of Saladin and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali (The Alabaster Mosque).
