Overnight Tour to Luxor from Safaga Port

Tour Overview

  • Availability: Daily
  • Tour Type: Express
  • Duration: 2 days
  • Pickup Time: 7:00 AM (adjustable depending on your cruise ship’s arrival time)

Tour Highlights

This two-day itinerary begins at Safaga Port and takes you to Luxor to explore Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, as well as the Valley of the Kings and the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut on the West Bank of the Nile.

Enjoy an overnight stay at a five-star or luxury hotel and meals at local restaurants. An experienced Egyptologist tour guide will accompany you throughout the trip, and transportation will be provided in an air-conditioned vehicle. All entrance tickets and taxes are included.

If you would like to customize the itinerary, we will be happy to make the necessary arrangements.

Tour Details

A guide and manager from Ramasside Tours will be waiting for you at Safaga Port, holding a sign displaying your name. There is no need to look for them; they will be there to welcome you and ensure you find them easily.

From the moment the tour begins, your guide will provide personalized assistance throughout the journey. Once you are in the vehicle, your guide will explain the attractions along the way and share interesting information about the destinations you will visit.

Travel to Luxor in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle. The drive from Safaga takes approximately three hours.

Upon arrival, visit Karnak Temple, one of the largest religious complexes in the world. Built over many centuries, from the early Middle Kingdom through the Greco-Roman period, the temple is renowned for its magnificent Hypostyle Hall, featuring an awe-inspiring forest of massive columns.

Next, visit Luxor Temple, a magnificent monument associated with the reign of Amenhotep III and renowned for its remarkably preserved ancient Egyptian artwork. You can also choose to enjoy the spectacular Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple before spending the night in Luxor.

Day 2: Luxor's West Bank

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, head to the West Bank of the Nile to see the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III, known as the Colossi of Memnon.

Continue to the Valley of the Kings, where you will explore three magnificent tombs selected from among the royal tombs carved deep into the desert rock. These tombs feature elaborate decorations and fascinating treasures associated with the pharaohs' beliefs about the afterlife.

After lunch at a good local restaurant in Luxor, visit the impressive Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Dedicated to Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt's most remarkable female pharaohs, the temple rises in a series of terraces and blends harmoniously with the surrounding limestone cliffs.

At the end of the excursion, your guide will accompany you back to your cruise ship at Safaga Port.

Luxor offers numerous attractions, cultural experiences, restaurants, and shopping opportunities. If you have additional interests, let us know, and we will recommend the most suitable itinerary.

Better Value Than Cruise Line Excursions

Our prices are generally lower than those offered by cruise lines, with potential savings of up to 40% in some cases.

We believe you deserve an exceptional travel experience without paying unnecessarily high prices. When our prices are higher, this reflects the superior quality of our tours, which typically feature smaller groups and more personalized experiences.

Higher Quality Than Cruise Line Excursions

We are committed to delivering exceptional experiences. Unlike cruise line excursions that often accommodate groups of 50 or more people, our tours are designed for smaller groups.

This allows us to provide a more personalized and enjoyable experience, giving you more opportunities to explore each destination in depth and receive individual attention from your guide.

Hotel Ratings in Egypt

Please note that hotel ratings in Egypt may differ from those in the United States and Europe.
