This two-day itinerary begins at Safaga Port and takes you to Luxor to explore Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, as well as the West Bank’s Valley of the Kings and the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari.
Enjoy an overnight stay at a five-star or luxury hotel and meals at local restaurants. An experienced Egyptologist tour guide will accompany you throughout the trip, and transportation will be provided in an air-conditioned vehicle. All entrance tickets and taxes are included.
If you would like to customize the itinerary, we will be happy to make the necessary arrangements.
A guide and manager from Ramasside Tours will be waiting for you at Safaga Port, holding a sign displaying your name. There is no need to search for them; they will be there to welcome you and ensure you find them easily.
Once the tour begins, your guide will provide personalized assistance throughout the journey. During the drive, your guide will introduce important landmarks along the route and share other interesting information about your trip.
Travel to Luxor in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle. The journey from Safaga takes approximately three hours.
Upon arrival, visit Karnak Temple, one of the largest religious complexes in the world and one of the greatest examples of ancient Egyptian religious architecture. Built over many centuries, from the Middle Kingdom through the Greco-Roman period, the temple is renowned for its magnificent Great Hypostyle Hall, featuring an awe-inspiring forest of massive columns.
After lunch at a local restaurant, head to the West Bank of the Nile to see the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III, known as the Colossi of Memnon.
Next, visit the Valley of the Kings, where the magnificent tombs of ancient Egyptian rulers were carved deep into the desert rock and decorated with elaborate artwork.
Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari. This extraordinary temple was dedicated to Hatshepsut, one of ancient Egypt’s most remarkable female pharaohs. It rises in a series of terraces from the desert plain, blending harmoniously with the dramatic limestone cliffs surrounding it.
At the end of the excursion, your guide will accompany you back to Safaga Port so you can continue your cruise journey.
Luxor offers a wealth of attractions, cultural experiences, culinary delights, and shopping opportunities. If you have extra time and would like to add more activities, let us know, and we will arrange them for you.

We offer excursions departing from all major Egyptian ports, including Alexandria, Safaga, Port Said, and Ain Sokhna.
If your cruise arrives in Alexandria or Port Said after 7:00 AM or departs before 9:00 PM, we recommend a Cairo day trip focusing exclusively on the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Visiting additional attractions may be difficult due to time constraints.
This recommendation allows you to enjoy an unforgettable experience among these ancient wonders while ensuring you return to your cruise ship on time.
Our tours are generally operated in small groups, but they can also be fully customized as private VIP excursions upon request.
Prices are quoted in US dollars, but payments in euros or British pounds are also accepted.
We offer private tours and accessible holiday options for travelers with special requirements. Please inform us of your needs when booking so we can make suitable arrangements.
Our prices are generally lower than those offered by cruise lines, with potential savings of up to 40% in some cases.
We believe you deserve an exceptional travel experience without paying unnecessarily high prices. When our prices are higher, this reflects the superior quality of our tours, which typically feature smaller groups and more personalized experiences.
We are committed to delivering exceptional experiences. Unlike cruise line excursions that often accommodate groups of 50 or more people, our tours are designed for smaller groups.
This allows us to provide a more personalized and enjoyable experience, giving you more opportunities to explore each destination in depth and receive individual attention from your guide.
Please note that hotel ratings in Egypt may differ from those in the United States and Europe.
For a genuine five-star service experience, we recommend choosing the luxury hotel option under Plan B. While the standard hotels under Plan A are officially rated five stars in Egypt, their facilities and service levels may be closer to those of a three-star hotel by international standards.
