Day 2 takes you south by domestic flight to Luxor for a comprehensive day excursion covering the Valley of the Kings, the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon, Karnak Temple, and Luxor Temple before returning to Cairo. Conclude your holiday on Day 3 with an airport departure transfer following breakfast. This package includes 2 nights of hotel accommodations in Cairo, private transfers, expert Egyptologist guiding, domestic flights, and monument admission tickets.
Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, our Ramasside Tours representative will greet you inside the terminal with a personalized sign and transfer you in a modern air-conditioned vehicle to the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Tahrir Square. The museum houses an exceptional collection spanning over 5,000 years of civilization, recognized as the world's most extensive and valuable collection of pharaonic art. Explore over 250,000 original artifacts, including the royal treasures, gold masks, and jewelry of King Tutankhamun, which remained sealed in his tomb for more than 3,500 years before their discovery in the 1920s.
Next, proceed to the Giza Plateau to behold the Great Pyramids of Giza (Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure). Marvel at the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest stone pyramid ever erected and the sole surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. Continue to the Great Sphinx, the legendary guardian sculpture featuring a lion’s body and the pharaonic face of King Khafre. At the end of the tour, transfer to your hotel for check-in.
(Note: If a late arrival prevents touring on this day, visits can be rescheduled to your final departure day).
(Optional: In the evening, attend the Sound and Light Show across the illuminated Giza Plateau).
